๐Ÿ‹ Autumn Whale Surprise โ€“ Second Whale Sighting for 2026

๐Ÿ“… Thursday 14 May 2026

What an incredible autumn surprise for our lucky guests aboard yesterdayโ€™s tour, with a humpback whale spotted cruising along the Fleurieu coastline. ๐Ÿ‹

While we are still early in the season, itโ€™s exciting to already record our second whale sighting for 2026. Encounters like this are a fantastic sign and have us hopeful for the start of a bumper whale season ahead.

Each year, humpback whales begin their long migration along the โ€œHumpback Highwayโ€ as they journey north toward warmer breeding grounds, before returning south later in the year. These early sightings are always something special and a reminder that whale season is just around the corner.

We are now eagerly awaiting the arrival of the first Southern Right Whales, which traditionally begin appearing along the South Australian coastline over the coming weeks and months.

Stay tuned to our Whale Log as we continue logging every whale sighting throughout the season. ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‹
