May 27, No Whales but a Sunfish visit

Last Sunday we were out cruising the islands off of Victor Harbor when a Sunfish visited, we haven't seen any before in the area. Such a beautiful animal peacefully swimming by The Big Duck. Sunfish can grow to up to 3.3m in length and weigh more then 2t!

On May 27 2018 , A Sunfish visited the waters of Victor Harbor. Jo Grinter was on board The Big Duck to capture the video first hand. This is the first Sunfish the Skippers of the Big Duck have seen in the area.

The Big Duck respect & honour the ancestors & people of the Ramindjeri lakinyeri (clan) of the Ngarrindjeri Nation; on the Yarluwar-Ruwe (lands & waters) in which we operate our tours. We actively collaborate, share, preserve culture & protect ngaitji (totems).
